Niuserre Izi

Izi (Niuserre) was the sixth king of
the Dyn. V. He ruled Ancient Egypt from 2416 till 2392
BC, and is famous for both his solar temple at Abu Gorab and his pyramid at Abu Sir. The reliefs in the burial
chamber of his pyramid describe his military campaigns
against Libyan rivals in the Western Desert and against
the Asiatics in Sinai. He left an inscription at Wadi
Maghara which served as a guide to the mineral mines of
the region. His two wives, Reputneb and Khentikus, were
buried near him at Abu Sir.
