The Temple of the Hearing Ear The ruins of this temple are located in the far eastern side of the Karnak complex. It was
called the Hearing Ear because it was here that ancient Egyptians presented their prayers to
their god Amun. A giant axial obelisk was located in that temple which was used to stand on
the site of the sanctuary. Unfortunately, the giant obelisk is now located in Rome, Italy. That
obelisk is considered to be the largest one ever found.
